Tabling and Bird Walk
Join us on April 26th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Fairmount Park Conservancy for a community nature event hosted in partnership with Philadelphia Master Gardeners and Penn State Extension.
In Color Birding Club will be tabling throughout the event (10:00 AM–1:00 PM), offering opportunities to connect, learn about local birds, and get resources for exploring birding in Philadelphia. At 11:30 AM, we’ll host a relaxed, beginner-friendly bird walk for anyone interested in getting outside and spotting birds together.
The bird walk will move at an easy pace on mostly flat, park pathways, with time to stop, listen, and observe. We’ll likely stay near the starting area for part of the walk before heading a short distance into the park and returning. This is a great opportunity for birders of all levels whether you’re brand new or more experienced.
Late April is an exciting time for migration, and we may see or hear a variety of species such as warblers, woodpeckers, thrushes, and other songbirds moving through the area.
